Temple Hopping continuation

I did not finish posting all the pictures last night so this one will be a continuation. After visiting Uncle Dan and Aunt Diana our last stop is Timpanogos temple.

While visiting the temple we also take the opportunity to take some picture around.

Take a closer look at the horses....they enjoy posing for a picture..

We arrived home at around 7 pm we are tired but we really enjoy our temple hopping. And we're looking forward for next saturday. We decided not to attend a session but we still feel the spirit becasue we know that the temple is the house of the Lord. And we are grateful for this gift from Heavenly Father.

"The inspired erection and proper use of temples is one of the great evidence of the divinity of the Lord's work. Without revelation they can neither built nor used.Where there are temples, with the spirit of revelation resting upon those who administer therein, there the Lord's people will be found;where there are not,the church and the kingdom and the truth of heaven are not."(Bruce R. McConkie)

For me it is a privilege and a blessing to go to the temple. But in order to receive the blessings we need to prepare ourselves. We only have one temple in the Philippines and it is an 8 hour drive and a lot of money will be spent to go there. Most members in my town have a meager income. But everytime the ward is planning to go to the temple, members prepare all necessary things needed in order to go there. As a youth leader I saw how the youth earn money for their fare. They usually go to some member houses to ask for empty bottles, newspapers,or anything that they sell. Some young women usually ask some neighbors if they need help to clean their yard or houses. The sacrifices that they made makes their trip meaningful. They enjoy the ordinances that they do and wish that they can stay longer inside the temple.

As a personal experience in attending temple in the Philippines, my friends and I usually set a date to go to the temple and it is usually for three days. We spend all day to attend many sessions. My last temple session with my friends before I came here was spent most of the time inside the temple. We usually attend 5 sessions a day. After a session, we go back to get names and do another session. We even attend the last session at night. We are so tired that we sleep very well (I'm sure we kept other people awake with our snoring.) We go back to Santiago Saturday night, so we arrive Sunday morning. We stay awake to attend church service. When a couple is getting married, they will rent a bus and try to get enough people to join them. This makes the fare cheaper and everyone has fun traveling together. For sure we are always taking advantage of those opportunities to attend the temple.

I am very grateful for those opportunities that i have. Indeed we will only knew the value of something if we are able to sacrifice. I am grateful for the examples of members that i met and their testimony and love about the temple. For me i never question anything about the church because i know in my heart the truthfulness of the gospel.Nobody can question about that. My foundation is strong and no matter what deception or whatever they say about the church I will never be affected because I know in my heart that it is true.
